Greetings all:

In less than 10 minutes, the good people at Logos took my phone call, found my information and entered me for 7 Zondervan pre-pub titles using the Pradis discount. It actually took longer to create my list before I called than the entire ordering process took! You can read about the discount at:

I just wanted to say "Thank you" the the Logos staff who handled my order and the folks at Zondervan and Logos who approved this one time only discount. It was very generous, especially since I replaced 1 Pradis title and bought 6 new titles!

It feels like I'm celebrating Christmas and my birthday early this year!!

I wish I could get the Pradis discount, but I bought EBC before Pradis existed. It's some other proprietary Zondervan software & format. And boy will I be glad to never have to install or run that peice of garbage software again.

I did and was turned down. [:(] I own the EBC in the original electronic format (NIV Bible Library):

But I guess it saves me money, so I'll just wait until the updated EBC comes out for Logos. The original software still runs (only it doesn't recognize the mouse wheel--very aggravating).

Hurry and do not despair. If you want the EBC, you have to do this and get Zondervan's approval and your name on the list before 3/15/10 (which may now not be possible, but you should still be able to do this in time for the other titles you'd want), I suspect.

I had the pre-Pradis versions of NIDNTT and NIDOTTE on CD, as well as in print, and I communicated this to Zondervan re: not getting the 40% pre-pub Pradis discount, and the person at Zondervan emailed me back that they would put my name on the list with Logos - which they did, and it qualified me for the 40% Pradis discount for ALL the 87 titles, not just NIDNTT and NIDOTTE, so I ordered those plus the EBC a@ 40% less than the pre-pub price. I couldn't justify paying for the revised pictorial encyclopedia as I already have $1,000 in other pre-pubs in my queue.

What I wrote Zondervan:

Logos in conjunction with Zondervan ... is offering an additional 40% pre-pub discount for Pradis owners of the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology/Old Testament Theology and Exegesis. I have the PRE-PRADIS version of both these resources (as well as the hardbound copies of both sets), but Logos told me by phone that I'm apparently not eligible for the 40% discount since I don't have a Pradis-registered copy. Bummer! With all the $ I've already spent on these books & software, is there any way I can get this additional discount? Otherwise, I don't think it makes financial sense for me to buy the Logos versions. ... HELP, please!

Zondervan's response (in a special fill-in-the-information/reply-here format) was:

You will qualify for the discount as long as the product was purchased prior to 12-31-2009.

I need you to provide me with the following information please.

Name:
Address:
Ph:
Email:

Product Name (s) and ISBN number (s) (if you don’t have the ISBN just the product name will do):
Purchase date (approximately if unknown):

What I am doing is gathering this information from many who Logos does not show as registered users. I am then sending this information on to Logos, and they have been advised to honor the discount.

Nevermind about that. I called Logos again and got the discount. Not sure how that worked. Perhaps their verification policies have changed in the past three weeks.

Re: email address - Zondervan no longer has a phone number to call for customer service, but they have a Webpage-based fill-in "Contact Us" form, which is what I used:

But maybe you can just go through Logos now (Logos had originally denied it to me, too, when I first called).

I had the same problem getting my discount from Logos so I called Zondervan's CS at 1-800-727-1309 which gets you to the home office in Grand Rapids, MI (some others I tried got me to sales offices in PA). Even though I had purchased some of their products via download they did not have a record of my purchases. They were very nice and agreed to add my name to the list of those qualifying for the 40% discount. I was also sent an email verification that I qualified for the discount.I'm pleased with the way they handled my request and their CS personnel were gracious and courteous.

The "contact us" link that Eric mentions can take up to 48 hrs for a response. I would call the number above.

Mark, I talked to my pet salesman, forwarded him my confirmation email from Zondervon and he already has me set up without waiting for the list on Monday.
