Would Someone Be Able To Compare/Contrast These Resources?

I understand the basic differences, I think, just based on the titles alone. But more educated opinion would be appreciated. Particularly based on the cost of the resources.

Or, maybe they are just so different that you would recommend both.

I've only used the first in the past and too long ago to remember. Hopefully others can provide some feedback.

You may luck out with someone having both.

Depends on you. The survey one is your standard John overview, typical of what you'd take in early seminary. If you're already familiar, a waste. If not, an organized journey.

The theology one is going to be more in depth, especially with the synoptic contrasts. Were it me, the second one. A bit higher than I'd want to pay, since it wouldn't stray too far.

Thanks for the help. I don't think a basic seminary overview is what I would want. I have the theology volume. I was considering adding the other as I was considering beginning a study of the Johannine works.
