Verbum 7 for Mac updates will not download

For the last four days or so, the same update has been trying to download and either hangs at 0% downloaded, or when it does begin to download, it will always stop downloading at between 89 - 99% downloaded and then start trying to down load again. I am attaching logs for both hanging at 0% and stopping at 99% downloaded. Please advise.4760.VerbumLogs.Delaney.20161031-135922 - stopped at 99 percent.zip2843.VerbumLogs.Delaney.20161031-134916 - hanging at 0 percent.zip

Welcome to the forums Dr. Delaney. Sorry to hear about the difficulties. There are several experts on the forums that can read those logs and perhaps locate the issue.
While we wait for them to review the files, have you had a chance to look at the support page concerning download issues? You can find it here:
https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/mac/error-yosemite
I know that it references an older OS but maybe there is something there that would be of help.

The download fails with messages like:
"NSURLSession/NSURLConnection HTTP load failed"
"Download error Failed to download to (null)"
"The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be “resources.logoscdn.com†which could put your confidential information at risk. "
This appears be connected to OS X 10.12.1, but Mac users can advise better than I can.

Thanks for the replies! I should have mentioned I am running MacOS Sierra and am connected to the internet via ethernet. I also have Verbum 7 running on my iMac also running MacOS Sierra, connected via wifi and after a day of doing the same thing, it finally downloaded and has downloaded a second update since.

Dr. Delaney,
Your log files indicate the issue was with an iMac. Is there another Mac with the issue you originally reported? Or is the issue now resolved?

Steve, Dr. Delaney,
I am having the very same issue, but with Logos 7. Updates won't download. A complete removal would not work either.
The problem started after installing the 10.12.1 macOS Sierra Update.

Dave,
at least Safari in the offending macOS version does verify the certificate.

Sorry Steve for the confusion. I meant to say that I have an iMac and a MacBook both running Sierra. The MacBook finally updated after a day. The iMac is still cycling at 0% and then something loading as far as 99% but in the end, dropping the update.

I'm checking with dev, but I'm pretty sure you're having a problem with internet certificates. I'll update this thread on what they tell me.

Hi David,
Can you verify you're running macOS 10.12.1, and then follow the instructions below.
1. Open safari and type https://resources.logoscdn.com.
2. Click the padlock icon to the left of the word "resources" in the address bar.
3. Click "Show Certificate"
4. Post a screenshot of the certificate window that appears.

Hi David,
Our advice is to reach out to Apple about this. The certificate is a valid one despite what macOS 10.12.1 is saying. (see https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=resources.logoscdn.com) It's likely something went wrong in your last OS update, and Apple will be able to help with that. .

Hi Tommy,
there seems to be something wrong on macOS, indeed. But not in general with version 10.12.1.
I have checked the page you said on two 10.12.1 macOS Systems. Both agree that the GlobalSign Root CA Cert ist valid. However, my iMac believes (just like David's Mac) the intermediate has been revoked, which, of course, renders the cert of resources.logoscdn.com revoked, too.
Somehow, the other System with the same version does not state that the intermediate has been revoked, and is thus accepting the cert for resources.logoscdn.com.
One of the systems is lying, but why so? If an intermediate cert has been revoked or not is an information the system does hold itself but rather gets from the CA. There is something strange going on.
However, I'd have to agree that the problem is more likely to be resolved by Apple, and not bei Faithlife/Logos.

SOLUTION!!
Guys, I found the solution to the problem.
GlobalSign, the issuer of the certificate in question, performed an exercise. This went wrong and turned into somehow revoking the intermediate cert, but only for some systems. GlobalSign Problems.
There is a solution, however: Clear CRL Cache and OCSP
Commands for macOS Sierra (10.12.x) at the bottom.
I can confirm that Logos does update once I entered the command and rebootet.

Hi Thomas!
Thanks for sharing your solution! I was experiencing similar issues (2016 iMac--OS 10.12.1 on latest Verbum 6 engine) where I could not download resource updates. Your suggestion fixed it immediately.
Much thanks!

Thank you Thomas!!!!! Just got to my computer to see the great news! Your discovery resolved my issue as well. I would never have found that myself.
Thanks again!
God Bless
