Need a Hint on Advanced Prioritization

Need some direction on using Advanced Prioritization.

I want to link The Tanakh (Old Testament Only Translation) with the Jewish New Testament (NT only translation) using the Advanced Prioritization so that when I have either book connected to a link set (say A) and then when I move from Old to New Testament Logos will automatically select the right translation to link.

Any hints?

What is it about linking them to the same English Bible that doesn't do what you want, other than require all three be open at the same time? (For example I have the BHS and NA27 linked to my favorite Bible and they do what you are asking for.)

I don't think there's a way to make advance prioritization fill in for a custom serial association which seems to be what you are asking for.

What I want to happen is this.

Say I have Tanakh open to Genesis. I type Romans into the verse window. Obviously Tanakh does not have Romans, but I want Logos to know to open JNT.

What is the best way to make it happen?

You can't. You could do it in L3 with a serial resource association. L4
uses the "series" tag to accomplish the same task. But users can't edit those.
Search for serial associations in the forums and you'll see people asking for the capability in L4.

You can't type into an OT Bible's reference box a NT reference or visa verse. I'm sure you've tried. They won't take it. So the best you can do is link three Bibles together: OT, NT and whole Bible, then navigate using the whole Bible. You asked for the best way and that's it. Not a good way, but the best available.

Serial associations are not likely to make a comeback without a lot of ruckus.

The serial associations function in L3 was seriously good. I wanted the same as Joe and was told exactly the same.

I will add to that.

Once upon a time the KJV and KJV Apocrypha were part of a Series. Now they aren't (which may be metadata or a bug).

But that's the facility we want for mixed books of OT and NT.
