Would somebody point me to some info about how to use tagging and labeling? What is the difference in the two? These seem like great tools for searching, but I must confess ignorance on the differences and how best to use them.
Generally, tagging is what Logos does and labeling is what we do. The exception is that when you mark an entire book by clicking on the info pane, it is called tagging, because it predates labels. You mostly use that to find books or make collections. So you might tag your favorite commentary for each book, then type mytag:favcom into the library window to see just them.
Labels are very powerful and can give you a place to store lots of sorted information on the text of a resource. Here is a great resource on how labels work: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/93205/647728.aspx#647728

Tagging is the simple identification of a piece of data - naming a person, place, thing for example. Faithlife does a great deal of this especially in Bibles and Dictionaries/Encyclopedias. Users can supplement this coding by Community Tag but we are limited to the values Faithlife has set. For example, I cannot tag the rabbis in the Talmud because Faithlife has not defined them. Tags apply to a word or very short phrase
Labels allow one to assign one or more attributes to a piece of text. Faithlife introduced them with their Sermons, Personal Letters ... As users we can both use the labels defined by Faithlife and create our own labels for information of interest to us. Labels can apply to long passages.
