Making highlighting easier

This may have been suggested before, but for me it seems way more intuitive --

In highlighting, we should be able to select our style, then start clicking and dragging to select text that then gets highlighted.  It's much more intuitive to "pick your pen" and then start using it, just like you would pick up a pink highlighter and start highlighting in your Bible. Then you put it down, pick up the yellow highlighter and start highlighting text.

Now, we select the text, then pick the highlighter. Select more text, pick up the highlighter again. That's very unintuitive and I really cannot get used to it!  This is also way more work however you cut it.

Can we please change this?

If all I am doing is selecting text to highlight it, this makes sense.  But I also select text to copy and paste it into other programs (e.g. MS OneNote or sermon outlines in OpenOffice).  I expect that there are other reasons to select text as well - such as check the meaning of a word in a dictionary.  This being the case, I guess, for now, I prefer the current default.

I tend to just highlight the text & then use Ctrl+K to highlight the text (which uses the last/current highlighter style)
