Searching Notes & Clippings for Bible References

I am trying to search Clippings & Notes documents for any that relate to a specific passage. Inline search sort of works in Clippings because they automatically receive tags such as "Heb 4:14–16". Thus an inline search for "Heb 4:14" finds this clipping, but it is also related to "Heb 4:15" & "Heb 4:16", which the inline search misses.

There don't seem to be any automatically generated tags in Notes documents, so inline search doesn't work at all for finding all notes related to "Heb 4:14", "Heb 4:15" or "Heb 4:16".

How should I be locating all Clippings & Notes related to a specific Bible reference?

jokes aside I am anticipating the answer to the question. I do not think I have EVER done an inline search. I know they exist.

It looks like you are searching for the text: Heb 4:14

It is much more effective to search for the reference, which will allow you to find the other locations you are searching for: <Heb 4:15>

Thank you Andrew. A Basic search of "All Text" in "Your Documents" for <Heb 4:15> seems to do what I need.

When I do a Basic search for "Cain" of "All Text" in "English Standard Version", I am able to "Send to Inline Search". Is something equivalent possible with Notes and/or Clippings documents so I see only the relevant entries? Currently the best option I can see is to "Sort by Reference" so the entries are at least together.

The tag field doesn't accept links, but you can add references/links in the Note part of a clipping. Choose Copy location as L4 format from the Panel menu of the resource and copy the location with Ctrl+Alt+C. Add some text to the clipping Note and select it, then paste the location into the Address/link button in the Clipping toolbar.

For Notes you can link a resource from "Edit attachment points" in the menu. It's easier to use "Attach to current selection" to get the link.

That's what I tried, but nothing happened the first time. It works now, so I guess the program needed time to look up "John 20:3" as a valid reference.
