Inviting Members - How long should this take?

I have just attempted to invite a new member into a hidden faithlife group. I found their name and clicked Send ... and the screen returned to the groups home screen. There was no acknowledgement that the message has been sent, nor in the members section is there a 'pending invites' list ... is this normal, or should there be some indicator tat the message has been sent?

I am inviting my wife, sitting next to me with phone and laptop, and she is not receiving any email from Faithlife ... how long should it take for an email to arrive? (other emails are working fine).

I want to roll this out to some of the leaders in our church ... but if it does not work first time then I fear that it will not be given a second time ... and we will be back to the likes of WhatsApp !!!

Would anybody care to suggest an alternative to Fakebook and Whatsapp in the possibility that Faithlife appears to be unreliable?

Sorry to hear Faithlife isn't working well for you. Users should receive a new group invitation almost immediately.

You can see pending group invitations by going to the members tab. On the right hand side there should be a 'pending invites' section. If someone has any pending group invitations, they will appear under the notifications bell on the top right hand corner of the screen.

If your wife hasn't received any group emails, it is possible they are going into the junk mail folder. I'll check our systems to ensure that the invitation email was delivered to her inbox successfully.

If someone has been invited to the group in the past, but previously declined, the system will not send them another invitation. That person would need to go to the group and manually join in order to be added to the group again.
