My indexer keeps crashing at 3 hr 11 min with the BibSac vol 1-90. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know of a solution?
alan, can you post the logs (both of them) and we can interrogate them
I would love to, uhh, where are the logs?
You've probably been hit by that "merge index" bug that is floating around in 4.0a
You might need to do the rebuild index command to fix it. And in the worst case you'll probably have to delete your library index files and start over.
But still, posting your logs might be useful first. They are in your Documents\Logos Log Files folder.
I appreciate the help. I have run the rebuild index command with the same results. I have no Logos folder in my documents. Do I have to turn Logs on? If so, how.
Ok, I have the logs turned on and I am indexing again, when(if) it crashes again I will post both logs here.
Here are my logs:
2010-03-12 11:09:56.9450 7 Error Program Unhandled exception: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: document id 2764 is outside valid range of [1, 2764)
You needed to upload the full log as per Uploading Logs but we can be reasonably sure that indexing is still the issue. This time delete the LibraryIndex folder
\Logos4\Data\{random}\LibraryIndex. Search for Logos4 and because it is hidden you need to enable hidden files and folders from Control Panel | Folder Options.
The one line of the log you posted is enough to tell me you have the same old index merge bug. You'll need to rebuild your index from scratch.
Wow Peter, you are Goooood.
Thanks guys, rebuilding the index worked! I didn't do it right the first time so the second one worked.
