Greek Audio New Testament in Windows 7 not to be fixed this year.

I was disappointed to be informed that the bug that keeps the Greek Audio New Testament green dot place marker from working in Windows 7 will not be fixed until after the first of the year.  That pretty much makes the program of little use in Windows 7.

Programmers are just too busy.  Understandable,but disappointing.

How so? The blue arrow had a lag in Logos 3 and was more a distraction than a help. If you can't keep up this the audio, it is an indication that your sight reading skills need to be worked on and the blue arrow or green dot will not help you with that. Here is what I would suggest you do:

1) Make sure you know what sound each letter makes. The system that the Logos audio bible uses is the one found in Mounces' grammar. At his web site he has a short video explaining each sound

2) Make sure you know how to divide Greek words into syllables, again Mounces' grammar and videos are a great help. I believe he also has a passage from 1 John to work on your reading and pronunciation.

3) Pick a section of the NT and listen to just one verse using the Logos Greek audio bible twice.

4) Now try to pronounce each word in that verse individually as clearly as possible. Once you can pronounce each word, start trying to read the entire verse as smoothly as possible. Reply the audio of that verse to check yourself.

5) Once you have mastered that verse add a second, then a third and so one.

In two to four weeks your reading skills should be such that you can easily keep up and you will never miss blue arrows or green dots! This seems like a lot of work, but it is time well spent. If you can't read read fluently, you will never keep a working knowledge of it, you will be just using tools and decoding the text, not really reading it. This is where I was for years and the Logos Greek audio bible has been a great help to me.
