A sreenshot would be useful to illustrate this.
However, please enable and post logs as per this web page.

What do you mean "under 8"?
In any case, the problem may be a corrupted installation or shortcut. What happens when you open from applications (rather than from the dock)? If opening from applications works, delete the dock icon and create a new one. If not, delete the app from applications and re download. Your resources, etc. will stay in place.
Anything in the logs?
The Mac Console log is the only one provided, but we need logs from the application (Logos). If you had enabled logging as per the link in my previous post then you should contact Tech Support for a diagnosis.
I have been launching from Applications (or Launchbar).
For clarification: What do you mean by "launchbar"? The icons (typically) at the bottom of the screen is called the "dock." Your sentence is ambiguous... the applications folder is different than the dock.
Have you tried restarting your computer?
What version of macOS are you running?
Email sent to support
Email is typically the worst way to get help from FL. It would be best to call.
I am extremely familiar with the terms, and am sorry my response seemed obtuse. As I said, I was launching from the Applications folder directly. I don't keep many things in my Dock and rarely use it to launch applications.
Yes, I restarted the Mac. I'm running macOS Sierra 10.12.2.
I did speak with Logos support yesterday. After sharing my screen, they dug around a bit (a little *too* much arbitrary opening and closing of windows and apps for my comfort, frankly!) and determined that the Application Support/Logos4 directory had the wrong permissions (and was empty!). Renaming it and allowing Logos to create a new one addressed the issue.
The issue has been fixed. I would argue that Logos *should* have seen that the permissions were wrong, that it couldn't read the directory, or something, but didn't. It just hung, instead.
Well, "Launchbar" is an application that I use which allows me to quickly get to actions on my Mac using the keyboard instead of the touchpad: https://www.obdev.at/products/launchbar/index.html
Thanks for clarifying!
Glad you have it working now.

You mean "the logs should have shown" or "the app should have given a warning"? Something else?
I have had the exact same issue- been going on for at least three weeks. Been reading this thread- I had logos support take remote control of my machine and they attempted all of these things- no success. I am using a MacBook Pro running OS Sierra 10.12.2. Thanks for any help you could give!

Welcome Ben! [:)] Sorry you are having troubles [:s]
I tried opening your log file, but it appears to be corrupted. Did you use the helper tool? If not, please see my signature line for help with logging. It would be best if you could create a new thread, explain your issue clearly, explain what steps you have tried. Similar symptoms ≠ "the same problem."
Thanks for your response! I will post a new thread shortly. I did use the helper tool to try and capture the logs, but I will try again. Thanks again.
