Randomized Avatars in the forums.

Ok this is just weird and slightly frustrating.  (Is anyone else having avatar issues?)

In the last several days I've noticed that my avatar has changed (not by me) to an older version thus:

It's not the avatar I want.  So I click my avatar to get to my profile, I click "change avatar" and lo and behold the avatar associated with my account is this one:

If I go in and re-upload the second one I can set it again as my avatar and after a few minutes the change sometimes makes it to the forums.

I guess I should be happy it's not this one any more:

 

So I wonder which one it will be when I hit publish.

This might require going back and clicking Save after making the change, like the two-step process we realized it requires for making a change to your Display Name stick. See http://wiki.logos.com/Changing_Forum_Display_Name.

But it might be something else weird going on if it went back to an older avatar without your changing it back.

Yeah, I've made sure to click save after making the change just in case.  Unfortunately it still remains.  I think I may just change it around a few times to see what happens.

I just figured it out, it seems the "forum master" has turned on gravatar support.

I had forgotten about my gravatar account until this very moment.....

That should fix it. 

EDIT: Then again... maybe not.
