Mark Books as Read

Can someone tell me how to update the reading status indicator in the resource window? I've completed several books, but the software continues to show their status at 92 or 93% and leaves them marked as "Reading". I'm not interested in creating tags as the software clearly has the capability already to mark the books read. But how do you update this?

Thanks!

As far as I know, there isn't a "marked read" feature. The reading progress meter isnt very accurate. I think the answer to your problem would be to flip through slowly page by page... or do what I do: ignore it all together.

I recall another thread about this issue several years back, and the FL employee admitted (IIRC) it was a known issue but didn't think it was a big enough deal to warrant action. I apologize, but I can't find a link to that thread, or I'd attach it here.

Appearances can be deceptive, the software doesn't have that capability at all.  This is a poorly implemented 'feature' that doesn't do anything of much value at al.  It was one of those, 'this looks good and we can implement it really quickly ideas's' and when it didn't' work so well as other have said Faithlife have abandoned it.  I take no notice of this feature, it would be nice to have it gone from the software to be honest if they are not going to do it correctly. Its a 'bell and whistle' that lacks the 'ding' and no matter how hard you blow on it, it makes no sound.

Tagging is still the only accurate way to mark and report on what books you have and have not read.

[Y] Other than the circle thingy not working properly for resources you have actually read from cover to cover, it's also an irritant for stuff I haven't read. If I create a custom reading plan for a resource, I usually end up scrolling through the whole book, then it shows as if I read the entire thing, which of course I haven't yet. So, it works when I don't want it to and won't work (or works badly) when I do want it to. Go figure [^o)]

There is great opportunity for improvement in the "Want to read" "reading" and "have read" library management.
