Logos on E-Ink devices?
I know that there is another thread about this, but I wanted to start a new one. What devices that are e-ink can run the Logos app or use the Logos resources? I already have a tablet, but for some reason, it's a weakness in my life, and I have had to cut it out. My theory is using an E-Ink would cut temptation out quite a bit. There will always be temptation to do the wrong thing in life, and we should always be on guard.

Some e-ink devices can run the current Logos Android app with no issues. Among these are the Boyue T61, T62 & T63, and the Onyx Boox C67ML series. Some e-ink devices can only run an older version of the Logos app (4.3.9). Among these are the Onyx Boox T68 and the Nook Glowlight Plus.
One thing you should know: most of these devices run Android 4.2.2 (JellyBean). Logos will discontinue support for anything under 4.3 as of February 1. The app will still run, but as time goes on, a few resources might not work properly. But, as of now, the devices I named in my first sentence run Logos fully.
The challenge is finding one of these devices to buy. Sometimes Amazon carries them. You can sometimes find one on eBay. You can also order them from Banggood.com, which is located in Hong Kong. Their prices and customer service are good, but the shipping will take about two to three weeks.
I find that e-ink is a little easier on my eyes for any long-term use than most conventional Android tablet displays, so I use my e-ink device for any lengthy reading as well as for passage guides on Logos.
Each of these e-ink devices have their strengths and their little annoying glitches. My recommendation would be the Boyue T62 or T63. Longer battery life and more space for user-installed apps. You will find forums on mobileread.com about all these devices, if you're into that sort of thing!

Due to your reason for wanting such a device, I would caution against this route... Your best bet would be to convert books to the kindle format and read them on a non-android based (non-fire) Kindle reader.

Given what Ezra said, this is a great option. However, a cautionary word. There are a number of things one can't do - or do easily - with any e-ink device. Videos or more demanding games come to mind. So such devices offer a minimum of temptations and distractions. But a few may still linger, such as the availability of a web browser. That may be good enough for you, Ezra, but only you can answer that one!

Thanks guys. At this point, I am just not sure if tablets are good for me. Something about them just causes temptation to fester like a wildfire. I have Covenant Eyes, and that helps, but the temptation still lingers quite a bit. I can just use my phone and laptop for now I guess. Maybe I can find a stripped down rom of Android that doesn't have a web browser, or the Play store. Very frustrating because the only time I have to use Logos is at work, on my breaks. After I get home, I don't have as much concentration, and my family needs me.

Best solution to this i've found is iPad. Get a friend or spouse to turn on parental controls (General > Restrictions). There's a pin code they know but you don't. They can scroll down to 'Websites' and turn on 'block all websites'. You can put in a safe list, but apart from those sites you cannot visit any others. Then turn installing apps off, and delete any apps that are a source of temptation.
Via this method you can make an iPad a completely useless device for untoward purposes.
