When Logos is starting up, it forces its way to the top so that I cannot work on any other application. Is there a way to set it to stay behind another window so I can continue my work? This impedes productivity and is quite annoying.
Welcome to the forums. Logos does not behave this way for me - it politely goes beneath another app when I change the focus. What operating system are you on?
I'm not sure what you mean here.
Normally when you start an application it starts on top of other applications.
If you're talking about Logos not releasing the auto-hide task bar (not allowing it to show), this is something I've dealt with too. If so, first make sure your video drivers are up to date. Second, restart your computer. (I had a recent issue with an NVidia driver update that did this, and it took a while to figure out what was going on.)
BTW, you can always switch applications in windows using ALT-Tab

I have always had this issue with Logos for as long as I can remember on Windiws 7 and now Windows 10. I am forced to move the othe application to the second monitor so I can keep working with it while Logos SplaSh screen takes over. I read the other post Bradely referred to and it doesnt offer ant help only a statement of expected behaviour from him. I work around it but would prefer if this behaviour was not the case.

It would help to know the operating system you have. In Windows, I've only found the splash screen to come on top, but it is easily dismissed by clicking the desired program in the Taskbar; the Logos window does not emerge on top after that.
Thanks everyone for your replie. I am using MacBook Air with Sierra. As Logos starts up I want to continue working on MSWord. It keeps switching back to the Logos splash. Even when I put them on separate spaces (desktops) it will switch back to the Logos.
