Has anyone heard when the 12 Days of Logos will begin?
This Monday, the 12th.
The 12 days of logos site still has last year's information... [:S]

That's just a logos.com subdomain - the 12 days of Logos domain is actually www.12daysoflogos.com Currently it is redirecting to https://www.logos.com/Christmas

Especially since dynamic pricing is not enabled for Zondervan sets. There's no discount for what we own.
Still, the WBC volumes at $14.99, it might not be $9.99, but it's better than nothing!
Indeed. All expensive Zondervan sets/bundles.
I can't afford bundles like this--especially after a new version release--and don't buy them. I can, however, buy the interesting odd $20 or $30 special item now and then. Is there not any margin for FL in sales like that or only these big sets?
It's not attractive at all : poor discount, no dynamic prices.
I guess I should spend the money on the pre-pubs coming my way.[*-)]

As there is no dynamic pricing for zondervan products, this sales will not entice me to spend on zondervan products. I am not going to pay twice for products i already own.
As there is no dynamic pricing for zondervan products
I know dynamic pricing isn't enabled but the information on the website suggests that it should be
It's possible that - for whatever reason - it hasn't been turned on yet and may change.
Nice! It's been 2 years, since dynamic pricing was turned off for WBC. I'm hopeful that dynamic pricing might finally be turned back on for good.
Well, Christmas present, but to whom? [G] [^o)]
I can confirm that Dynamic Pricing will be enabled, but only for the sale (through December 24th).
Ouch. I was going to write Bob and Phil a nice "Thank you!" note for finally working out dynamic pricing with Zondervan, but I can't afford to purchase the complete set this month.
Thankfully, others won't get double-charged for a limited time!
On many of the sets it says that I am getting dynamic pricing but I am not, it just has a 10% discount that it is calling dynamic pricing.
As others have pointed out the cost for the volumes that I do not own is much higher in the offer than individually, and thsi is despite the claims of dynamic pricing.
It's not yet turned on, Mike. Once it is, there will be an additional discount appearing for your custom price.

I'm guessing that Dynamic Pricing hasn't been turned on yet - or are you seeing something on the product page called dynamic pricing?
Haha mine is cheaper if I buy it separately. I hope they can offer a discount because it seems there isn't one.
Reg. Price $1,302.59 SGD
Discount for Products You Own -$130.26 SGD
Your Price $1,172.33 SGD
You Save $130.26 SGD
Are these Sales like WBC stay the whole 12 Days or is it just today?
I was wondering the same thing, since they have a bunch of resources on sale already.
DAL
LOL "Zondervan Bible Reference Bundle 2 (44 vols.)" great price-
Again there are bundles and collections, and the prices are in the hundreds and thousands. I have not spent any money on the Christmas Sale, and it looks like I will not be spending any money on this sale either.
Too over-priced!!!!!!
I would have to be completely lost my mind to pay $859.60 for the WBC!!!!!!![:O]
I would have to be completely lost my mind to pay $859.60 for the WBC!!!!!!!
First, have you looked at the page closely? You can buy individual volumes at a discount.
Second, for some, this is a good price. Academic level resources don't come cheap. As of right now, I don't think you will find an electronic version of this set cheaper anywhere else.
I don't think you'll ever be happy with the price of newer resources that are meant to serve academics.

But some of the individual volumes are not on sale. Anyone know why? See below:
Several years ago (2009?) I purchased the entire set (what had been released at the time) on CD and activated it with Logos for $400 even, and that included several other small titles as well. There have been a few more volumes trickle out since then, mostly updates to volumes I already own and the final two volumes to Job, but definitely not enough to justify the set costing more than twice what it used to. Zondervan can do much better than this.
But some of the individual volumes are not on sale. Anyone know why?
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think the updated 2 Corinthians volume was also withheld from the last WBC sale because of Faithlife's prepub policy. The policy has changed since then, so I don't know what the current situation is. Might depend on how long ago it came out of prepub, but I have no idea when that was.
Yes Rick
I did notice that individual resources are on sale in the WBC. I am also aware of Zondervan's marketing strategy. I will say no more on that. Electronic versions should be much cheaper than the Print versions.
One thing that does interest me is the Expositor's Bible Commentary, and I don't see any individual resources for sale there.
But it's all good with me, that I don't have to spend any money on the Christmas Sale or the 12 days of LOGOS.
Am happy for those who do [:D]
It's an obvious glitch. I'm sure it'll be fixed shortly.
The problem is that this is happening all the time, it is so unprofessional. They need to get a grip and rethink how they do things, it betrays a worrying corporate culture.
I don't understand why Logos can't implement some quality control. The last 4-5 roll-outs of specials/sales have all been 'glitchy'. Either the links are dead, or the dynamic pricing hasn't been 'turned on', or some other issue has occurred. To their credit, it is usually fixed within a day or two, but why are these problems not found before launch (and why do they keep recurring)? Because of this, I don't even consider buying something on sale until it has been available for a few days because I have come to expect pricing glitches. It shouldn't be that way.
Another error is the artwork for the Zondervan Encyclopedia. Click on it to see its actual artwork. Note, it is only one resource, five volumes.

I'll check this out, thanks for bring it up.
Also, we are having an issue with Dynamic Pricing, right now and are actively working on it. I'll post in this thread again once it is working correctly.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks Ted. I'll take care of this [:)]
This isn't a glitch. Since dynamic pricing has not been offered for these products (due to restrictions placed on FL by the publisher), the product page can't show any discount for items you already own. $819 is the full price, as if we owned none of the volumes.
It's still 6:34 AM at Faithlife. I imagine it will (temporarily) get turned on when the right person gets into the office.

This product was simply missed as we set pricing. I've updated it. You can now get it for $14.99! Enjoy: https://www.logos.com/product/54546/word-biblical-commentary-volume-40-2-corinthians
ALSO, Dynamic Pricing should be live for every product in the 12 Days sale. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Taylor!
I notice that dynamic pricing calculations have changed.
Previously, the dynamic pricing was applied first, then the sale percent off was applied. Now the sale percent off is applied to the regular price, and then dynamic pricing is applied. I think this is a much clearer way for us to calculate/understand our savings! Thanks for that, too!
Wow, Zondervan really screwed this one up! They let the competition offer this set at a price they allowed Logos to offer a few months ago. Now not many people who missed the previous sale will want to buy at this new price. What a waste in opportunity to make more profit.
Well now i get dynamic pricing but no sales discount!
yeah it looks like we either get dynamic pricing or sale but not both..
I confirmed this looking at the sale without logging on..
On my acct, non of them say Dynamic Sale Price, its just sales Dynamic Price.
Waiting to buy anything until this is answered what the intention is.
I am seeing both the sale, and additional dynamic price savings. If you're seeing something different, please post a screenshot.
Here's another glitch:
no sale..
no sale either
Travis,
Unfortunately, the web site only says "Dynamic Price" OR "Sale Price" above your custom price, but that doesn't mean both discounts aren't applied.
You need to hover over the little (?) next to Dynamic Price, and you should see the sale discount, in addition to the dynamic price savings.
Petah -- thats simply not true..
See this shows Dynamic Sale Price..
I stand by what I said. The Z stuff is broken.
Did you hover over the little (?) popup and see if both discounts show up? Perhaps the price is correct, and it's merely an error for the label?
Still, it should be corrected, as you say, if other products can show a more descriptive label.
of course I did..
Why are you arguing with me??? I'm done.. Waste of time.
Here's another glitch
That's odd. I also lack 3 volumes at $14.99 each, but my price is $44.80.
EDIT - Maybe that is based on differences in the prices of the respective volumes we lack BEFORE the sales discount is applied?

Travis is correct. Here's the pop-up for one of the bundles on sale (note only dynamic price is included - no sale price):
of course I did.. Why are you arguing with me??? I'm done.. Waste of time.
Both discounts are showing up for me, and I'm surprised and puzzled that your experience is different. Hopefully FL can (help) straighten it out!
I guess we all know that it takes the first day or so for FL to work out various pricing issues when they roll out a new sale. It's unfortunate and even frustrating at times, but I wasn't arguing about it, merely asking. Sorry.
I truly hope it can be resolved quickly!
