Copying a chart

I'm planning to use a chart in a class on Daniel. The chart is in the book "A Complete Guide to the Expansive Geography of Biblical History by Thomas V. Brisco, Holman Bible Atlas, Holman Reference (Nashville, TN: Broadman & Holman Publishers, 1998), iv., p. 165 & 166."

The name of the chart is "Chart 14: Kings of Persia (C.A. 559-330 B.C.)".

Is there anyway I can copy this chart without retyping it? Any tips will help.

1. Select the chart in the resource.

2. Go to the resource panel menu and select "Print/Export"

3. In the top right corner of the Print/Export page, find the Print box. Choose "Microsoft Print to PDF". Click Print.

This should give you a reasonable copy that fits the page. (Sending to MS Word will not.)

I don't understand why Logos won't let users just click whatever chart or image and let us copy a high resolution photo. This is possible in other bible software

Er ... ah.. but I can ... what am I missing? The resolution is dependent upon the resolution of the original image.

At least to as large as the original image used by Faithlife. Beyond that, I believe it depends upon the way the image is stored - vector images can be enlarged easily - I don't think the others can be but I'd have to check.

By definition, no. Vector images are resolution independent. All others you will always lose resolution when you enlarge them.

There may be some confusion between 'charts' and 'tables'. The item the OP wanted was technically a 'table.' While you can screenshot it and convert it to a photo, to retain the text characteristics, you need to use Send to Word or PDF.

Charts which are photos can be copied, as MJ demonstrates. But you'll need special software to read text in them.

Thanks so much for these instructions. I did this in a Mac and had a little problem with finding how to print so finally I did Control + P and the print screen came up, and then had to work on getting the pdf function to come up. Hopefully it will be easier next time.
