Turabian Footnote Information

When I go into my clippings, flip the card, and copy out a reference, I get something like this pasted into my Word doc:

You'll note the author name and article title are missing... This happens with all of my journal resources, I have to manually copy the information out and format it to look the way it should, like this on the bibliography, I think:

Friend, Helen. “Like Father, Like Son.” Ashland Theological Journal 22 (1990).

The footnote, of course, should have the page number, volume number, etc, in it. I can't seem to sort this problem out--is Logos just not copying the right information out to the clipboard?

Unfortunately citations only work for whole resources, not for articles within resources. The data you need is not even stored within the resource, so it would need a very major upgrade both to Logos and particularly to the resource to make it happen. We can hope, but we shouldn't hold our breath.

I've been thinking of asking for this, too. The article name and author of the article is surely stored within the resource (if only at the beginning of the article). So a new kind of tagging/indexing would need to be created so that for any article-based resource, you could tell what article any given selection was within and get the bibliographic information for it. It would be very helpful for seminary students and other academics using Logos to write scholarly papers needing proper citations.
