TDOT and Theologisches Wörterbuch zum Alten Testament (ThWAT) (9 Bände)

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this is more appropriate to ask in the German forum, but I was wondering if anyone would be able to advise whether or not Theologisches Wörterbuch zum Alten Testament (ThWAT) (9 Bände) is the original German version of TDOT? Based on what I have read in it so far, I suspect so, but noticed that it is 9 vols. vs. 15 vols - is the German version more succinct or were they not all published in German?
