Easiest way to share documents

I've created a reading plan that a few people at my church are interested in accessing. I've uploaded it to the Faithlife group for my church, but I've had to put together a mini-tutorial giving them a link to the page, then giving them screenshots telling them to join it, navigate to documents (and how to find this on the ios app), how to find the document and then add it.
I'm just wondering if I've gone down the right route, or if there's a simpler way of doing this - I'd love to either send them a file they can open in Logos, or to send them a direct link where they are simply asked if they would like to add the document. Is anything like that possible?

you could have given them the direct link to the document's location on http://documents.logos.com instead of the second half, but still they need to join your group to get access.

You can also share and connect to documents using the Groups tool in the application, but again they still need to join the group first.
