Notes with custom icon - help!

I've created a custom highlight palette as I wanted to have a particular icon associated with a particular notes file.
It's easy enough to create the highlight, but as soon as I edit the note's attachment points, the image disappears, and I can't see any way to reapply this afterwards (all I see are the generic icons). My notes are meant to cover entire books, and I don't want to have to highlight the whole lot manually before applying the style. I feel like I must be missing something - can anyone help?

You can designate a specific note file to any of the highlighting palettes. To do this:
1. Hover over the Palette name
2. Click the down arrow on the right
3. At the bottom of the drop down menu, click the "Save In" down arrow and select the note file
Does that solve your problem?

Hi Fred,
I'm afraid not, no - at least if I understand you rightly. That seems to make it so that anything highlighted with my created style will automatically save to the selected notes file, but after I've created a highlight the issue in my OP comes up. I lose the icon as soon as I change the attachment points.
An example of what I'm doing:
I want a note attached to Genesis chapters 1-11. I highlight Gen 1.1 and use my custom highlight. It attaches successfully with the image I created for that style.
I then change the attachment point manually from Gen 1.1 to Gen 1-11 and I lose the icon, and it's replaced with "no indicator". I cannot then see a way of reapplying the icon that I created.
I hope that helps clarify things?

I've just realised there's another thing that I don't understand about this. I thought that the image I imported would function in the same way as the preinstalled icons, so that you could click on the image to view the attached note, but it doesn't seem to work that way - is there a way of getting this behaviour from Logos or have I just missed the point entirely?

The image for the style is different to the icon that is associated with the "note" you see in the Note file. "No indicator" is an empty square, but it can be replaced (by clicking) another Note Indicator.
The highlighting style I used was "Image before", with an asterisk image I created.
What was the "icon" you created? Illustrate with a screenshot as above.
NB. Once you apply a Note indicator, its icon will appear in the text and you can click on the icon to view the attached note. Clicking the image in your style will not do that.

Hi Dave,
I see the options you show before I change the attachment point (with my Bible Project indicator here)
But after I change the attachment point (so it'll show with any translation in the mobile app, and cover whole books, etc), I just get this:
The other styles disappear, and I can't attach it any more. If it was just my pic, I'd accept that it could be a fault in the way it was created, but even the ready-made ones disappear.

The reason is that highlights cannot be attached to Bible references in general, only to positions, including bible references in a certain book/Bible.

Just wondering, would a Label work with Bible references as a note indicator?

Labels are applied as a Highlight. When I added a label to a Note by Reference (in the Note file) it could not be found by a Search.
