That's good news.
I hope the new beta (or alpha) will be released very soon to the beta-channel. Can't wait to play with the new features. [:D]

is "gold" our current RC2, or will we need to update. Twitter says it is available (4.0b, that is) NOW, but I (with RC2) run "update now" and it says "none are available."
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.

I am not participating in the Beta - no Update Now activity for the rest of us.

RC2 = Gold so you won't get an update if that's what you're currently running

Anyone have the version number of the "gold" 4.0b?

Yeah the tweet was just repeating the blog post title which seems to conflate the meanings of "now" and "later", for some reason [;)]:

:
This could have exegetical significance in biblical study - the conflation of time theory!

Hopefully later today isn't like a thousand years!

Fantastic - just barely made it in time for tomorrow's seminar? Thank you Logos.

I take it that 4.0b means "beta" users????
The Blog does not say "beta" in the announced release. It only says for "all users." S am I to understand that the announcement means "all beta users?"
I know support told me weeks ago that the new alpha was coming soon.

No - to go gold means all users not just beta users

I don't think so. I am not a Beta user and the previous version was 4.0a. I just started the download - I assume to 4.0b, the newest release.

I just downloaded b as of 2:20 CST and it's around 32 meg, then there is a second download of updates of 50 some odd meg. Presently the computer is re-indexing.
0 -
Same for me and the import notes feature seems to work great!
0 -
I just completed my download. It was about 38MB. I had to restart Logos and download another 4MB, then it started indexing.
0 -
Just got my download... came in two separate downloads, first one a little more than 30MB, second one a little more than 50MB. Now indexing, I imagine that will take a few hours. I've got the time... intently studying for an upcoming Greek test. Don't need the computer for that -- need a better brain! [8-|]
Guess I'l check out the new features a little later... hope they got CBV right!

1 hour now into re-indexing and it is showing 45 minutes to go (not overly meaningful, but still). This is the longest index I've had. The initial install only took 40 minutes so this is already 50% longer and it is really pumping my i7 box hard. I saw the CPU meter hitting 70% for a bit.
Has anyone seen a posting on what the other, besides the b update is?

There was a post on the wiki with details: http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4.0b
Anybody know what resource updates there were to cause the re-indexing?
0 -
This new update builds a new "Bible" index so that your bibles are searched separately from the other resources.
Perhaps this is what is taking place?

No, "b" is just the letter after "a" in the release cycle. The next release will be 4.0c.MichaelFinch said:I take it that 4.0b means "beta" users????

Maybe I should also add something more. Logos will never auto-update you with a beta version. The people beta testing have to actually go out of their way to get access to the Beta version for testing. All other users will only get "Gold" updates (that is updates deemed ready for use by everyone.Joe Miller said:
