"Closing active layout"

After doing work in current desktop-which I have already save- I try clicking on "closing active layout," at the bottom of the layout screen, and nothing happens. The current layout remains on the desktop?
I am currently using Silver 7.
Thanks for your time, and God bless.

Close Active Layout does not actually close any panels. It disconnects the open windows/panels from any saved layout. The current active layout is named at the top of the Logos window.
When you Close Active Layout that name disappears.

Thanks Jack for the information. I do appreciate it.
Just a thought, it would be nice if Logos did have a way to close the desktop with one click, rather than clicking on every x on the tabs showing.
Thanks for your time, God bless,

Personally dragged command "Close all" to create a shortcut:
When want to close all resources (and active layout), can click shortcut, which is much faster than closing every tab individually.

Also, you can simply type Cmd-Opt-W—on the Mac OS—to close all open windows and the active layout. Is there or the Windows equivalent for this key combination?
