Highlighter frustrations

I love the Logos app and depend on it daily for reading, studying, preaching, etc. I love having the ability to sync my highlights and notes across platforms. One recurring problem slows me down, however.

Highlighting in Logos iOS app is hit and miss. Bought an apple pencil in hopes to improve it, but no real success. Admittedly, I like to have my highlight selection as precise as whether or not to include punctuation including quotation marks and periods. Sometimes I get in a rhythm, and it goes smoothly. Other times, I have to resort to manually adjusting the blue selection indicators and then selecting highlight.

Some specific frustrations:

  • Run along text, faint highlight looks spot on, lift finger or apple pencil. BOOM, whole extra line highlighted. Or, period not highlighted. Or period and space after highlighted, Or period space and next word highlighted.
  • Reading and highlighting ESV currently. Highlight defaults to last color used. Touch to change highlight. BOOM, footnote selected instead even though it's no where close to where I touched,
  • Start highlighting in middle of first word in a paragraph. BOOM, Logos decides I need the footnote before the first word highlighted.

Sorry if these problems seem small, but the result is frequently I try, erase, try again, erase again, use manual selectors (which slows down whole process).

Anybody else have these problems or see these issues? Any hope for making this feature better.
