Searches

I'm slowly working my way through Verbum's Advanced Search Training and I'm currently on the video "Using ANDNOT, BEFORE, and AFTER."
However, Logos doesn't seem to be responding for me in the same way that Father Dalton says it should. Using the following search query, "lemma:μετά BEFORE 2 WORDS(<LogosMorphGr ~ DA??>,@JA," the video says that Logos should add the proper morphological tags automatically each time I add a comma. However, it only did it for the first morphological tag and refuses to do it for the second.
Am I doing something wrong?

HI Jordan
if I understand right what you say you should ad OR instead of Komma between two lemmas

Logos 7.4 Beta 1 transformed (needed a space after the comma)
lemma:μετά BEFORE 2 WORDS (<LogosMorphGr ~ DA??>, @JA
to
lemma:μετά BEFORE 2 WORDS (<LogosMorphGr ~ DA??>, <LogosMorphGr ~ JA???>

Using OR causes different result colors:
lemma:μετά BEFORE 2 WORDS (<LogosMorphGr ~ DA??>, <LogosMorphGr ~ JA???>)
lemma:μετά BEFORE 2 WORDS (<LogosMorphGr ~ DA??> OR <LogosMorphGr ~ JA???>)

Thanks! That seemed to do the trick.

I am also trying to learn the advanced search, although now I've postponed it to 2018 or so. I know that the search is deterministic and if I know enough facts and tricks and I use logical thinking I should get the search results I am aiming to. But often my work is more like trial and error (as test and burn in electronics) and when successful, I feel it is a result of good luck or a supernatural miracle.
Logos has good training material and I've gone through some of it. One thing I think I've not seen is whether it is possible to see the tagging in a resource, or at least an example of tagging in some resource, does anyone have an advice?

Just right click some text and the Context menu will show you the tagging
This shows some of the tagging for "food" in the ESV. Having selected Addressee I can chose a Search to find the tagged data.

Ok, thanks Dave! This kind of info helps me to figure out more about how to construct the advanced search, although I feel there is still a long way for me to go with my learning pace [sn]!
