Using the Andriod app to witness or minister or (anything)?

I really like the flexibility of the mobile apps and have both an android phone and tablet that I use them on.

However, there is one issue that frustrates me.

When I am sharing with an individual I want to jump to certain scriptures in the Bible to point out the verses related to the topic we are talking about.

BUT LOGO ANDROID DOESN'T DO THAT!

I would like to have a list in one of the split windows, then click a reference that jumps to that scripture in the other window.  I was thinking of using a"Passage List"  only to discover that they do not even download to the Android devices.  I tried Notes, but they don't work either.

Is there any way to do this, short of carrying a notebook and manually entering the scripture?

Thank you.

I'm using iOS, but I believe the behaviour is the same? Apologies if that's not the case.

If you use the split window option and open a note document with links to passages in the bottom window, clicking those links there will open them in the top window. Is that close enough to the behaviour you're after?

I believe - but am not sure - that there is currently a bug in the Android app that prevents this from working.

If it were working I think it should do what is being requested.

You might consider using one of the "topical" reference books (such as below) in one half of the screen and a Bible in the other.

That way you could look up the topic being discussed and clicking links should move to the appropriate verses.

I appreciate this doesn't allow you to create / use your own lists but it could be a way forward for the time being - pending the problem with Notes being resolved.

Yes you can do this using Notes even with the bug Graham mentioned.  The trick is to make each reference you type in the note a hyperlink to that verse.  I've done this exact thing, so I'll share how to do it - either with the Desktop PC version (I have Logos 6), or solely using Android (works on 5.10.2 and 5.3)...

    Here's how to do it:

1.) Create a new 'Note Document' called 'Salvation Verses' (or anything you like).
This is optional, you can just add a note to any existing Note Document, I just like organizing my notes according to topic.
(You may have to edit the name of the Note Document in the Desktop version as there is another bug in Android which prohibits changing this)

2.) Navigate to the first Bible reference you are using, then Create a new 'Note' called 'Romans Road' (or name it anything you like) in 'Salvation Verses' (or whatever document you chose above).

3.) In the Note, type the reference to each scripture you want listed, and (if desired) copy that scripture text
(Of course, you could enter just the references only, or you could also add any additional helpful text you want surrounding each verse)

4.) In the Note, select a reference, then create a 'Link' to that reference as below (repeat for each reference in your list)
[NOTE: THIS IS THE KEY THAT ALLOWS YOU TO CLICK THE REFERENCE TO GO TO THAT VERSE ]

     - For Desktop: Select the reference in the Note, then use the chain icon in the toolbar - repeat for each verse you wish to link (pictured below) .

     - For Android: Select the reference in the Note, click the '...' in the toolbar, then paste the scripture reference under 'Hyperlink' - repeat for each reference you want to link (as below):

5.) Optionally: In the desktop version you can 'Edit attachment points' to add a link for each scripture reference
(Doing this will create a note icon at each verse referenced to enable you to easily go from one verse to the next without using the split window and will also enable you to open this note under every verse you've referenced it to)

    6) When you have completed creating links for each reference, save the Note.

In the Desktop version you end up with a Note that looks as below, with a list of scripture references that will hyperlink to that verse:

In Android it looks like this (using Split Screen) - each reference is clickable & will take you to that verse in the top of the screen (if you used the multiple attachments points all of the verses referenced will show the note icon as below):

Android using the Multiple 'Attachment Points' (each verse in the pop-up Note is clickable and takes you to that reference, also each reference in the Bible text shows the note icon so you can open the note again and go the next verse):

(Ok... I realize I 'corrupted' the Romans Road by adding Rev 3:20 - I just like to show how the Lord is inviting the Lost into His salvation)

    I hope this is helpful!
