Yes. That sale looks like it's a work in progress, as many of its items still appear at their regular price.

Some of the items that are on sale are available at a steeper discount in a library bundle. For example, the cost for AYBD comes out to $5 (98% off) when purchased with other needed resources from a base library.

Yes, base libraries always seem to be a much better value. Good to check to see if a resource is included in another (bigger and less expensive) resource.

What's going on with this sale? Many of the items listed on the top products of 2016 sale still have no discount applied, and aren't on sale.

Unless you have gotten to that page from a logos.com link, there is no reason to believe that it is an active sale. If you got there via google or a shared link found by google, there is no information available on its status and effective dates.

To get to the Logos link, do this:

From the Logos Homepage: mouse hover on STORE and click on SHOP BOOKS - BROWSE ALL.

Of the 3 tabs, Products, Support, Articles: click on SUPPORT.

Scroll down to the 11th item, which is 2016 Top Resources and click on that.

If you find a product that is on sale, the mouse hover discount information will say The Top Products of 2016 with the $ discount and %.

Some of the items on that page are currently on sale, and their discount is marked "The top products of 2016."

As you can tell from the original post, someone stumbled on a product that is currently discounted, and wondered what that discount/sale was all about.

If they're not meant to be on sale (yet), I'd think one of the things FL would do would be to take that page down.

I think it's confusing to draw attention to all the top products of 2016, but only place some of them on sale.

I see two issues:

If a "top" product is not on sale now, but will be on sale at some later point by virtue of being a top product, why should someone buy it now, if they know you will mark it down in the future?
How is selecting a subset of products from the top products any different than selecting a non-top product from the entire store? In both cases, the selected product is not on sale for most of the year, but included in a specific sale at some point during the year.

Perhaps the custom discount description should be "Selected top products of 2016," instead of "The top products of 2016," if the sale is not meant to be inclusive?

Some of the top products are already on sale. Others may or may not go on sale.

It's apparently both a list, and a sale of selected products from the list.

As far as sales go, it is a bit confusing.

Hear hear! That book has been on my wishlist for a while!

Perhaps the top wishlist items are still on peoples' wish lists because they're rarely on sale, wonderful or otherwise.
