Adding books to library

Hello all, I am a new Logos 4 user, but I had Logos 3. I have found one issue that I haven't been able to find how to do and would appreciate some help if possible. If there is a video tutorial, I must not have seen that one, and I apologize for posting this.

I own the MacArthur New Testament Commentary Series in actual book form, and would like to add this into the library I have for Logos 4. I know in Logos 3 I was able to do this, but can not remember for the life of me how to do it anymore. I have the Scholar edition, so I have a good amount of books, but would like to know if something I am studying is found in the Commentary series. Thanks in advance for the help. It is greatly appreciated!!

In L4 just purchase the resource(s) from Logos, and they will automatically download to your computer (provided you have Automatically Download Updates checked in Program Settings).

This is new to me -- that goes for lots of things. I think you'd have to call customer service. If you had a license in Logos 3 and you synchronized licenses in Logos 3, then that license should be on the Logos server and you'd get the download of the resource when you started Logos 4. If you licenses were not synchronized, open Logos 3 and do that under the "Tools" menu area.

If that doesn't work or you can't find the license in Logos 3, call customer service.

What I was meaning is that I have the hard copy books (all on a huge shelf, since it is a 27 book library), rather than the digital version. In Logos 3 you were able to add them in, and if referenced, it would tell you page and volume, rather than showing the excerpt in program. This is probably still clear as mud though, but I appreciate the help!! God bless!!

I think I understand -- it is just something I had never encountered -- that you could add physical books reference lists. I've got a few paper versions of books that are available electronically, but I can't afford to buy - or chose to buy things I don't have - from Logos, but I'd like to get that much integration for, so if you get a way to do it in Logos 4, let us know here.

Yes in 3.0 you could search locked books and keep them in your Library. As you said, it would show where to look for the discovered reference but becaus ethe book was locked, no more.

Unfortunately you cannot do that in Logos 4. I have not heard of any plans to incorporate it, although you are not the first to notice its absence.

Thanks a lot for the help... I wish this was still available in 4, since that was a nice feature to have!! I have over $400 invested in this commentary series and can not afford to buy them all at $9.95 each from Logos... ohh well, will just have to see which verses are pertaining to the subject and look em up in the commentaries!!
