Logos has four books from the Perspectives Series. There are a total of 14 according to the B&H website. That means there are 10 that Logos does not have. Faithlife/Logos, please get the other 10 books in the Perspectives Series.

Thank you in advance.

Oh. I typically do not look at Vyrso books. I do not understand why the whole Perspectives Series isn't in Logos format. It does not make sense to me for academic books to be added to Vyrso instead of Logos. I don't know why they do that to us.

look at it this way, when they do come to Logos you will get a free upgrade to the Logos version! That is a big plus, we just don't know when they will get around to doing them,

Totally agree Caleb. Vyrso is done cheap, tagging of scripture references hit and miss, tagging of pages and indexing is non-existent. It is not an appropriate format for Academic books. Unfortunately, some publishers won't sign up for full Logos format.

I don't have any knowledge of why theses particular titles are in Vyrso format.

The problem with this thinking Bobby is it may never get into Logos format because everyone is sitting on a Vyrso copy and not enough people sign up for the pre-pub to push it over the line.

Well, it obviously makes sense to some publishers to offer books only in Vyrso (Abingdon is an example for that) - which is most probably due to the wildly different contract between the publisher and Faithlife. While I have no inside information about the financial aspect involved, it is clear that Vyrso books are much faster to the market than Logos books (we're talking years here), and for all we kow the Vyrso contract is "just another ebook reseller"-contract (i.e. it does not require much effort from the publisher's legal team and uses their standard process of shipping an ePub version), so even publishers that work with Logos may prefer the Vyrso offering for some of their titles.

From a quality perspective, in most cases (exception: commentaries that tend to use incomplete verse references) Vyrso books are just like Logos resources. You won't get linked references in the footnotes - that's clear. But then you don't pay the premium for that either.

Have joy in the Lord! Smile
