Highlighting disappears multiple times, even with scrolling view off
I am reading in iOS version 5.11.00152, latest iOS beta. When I highlight a resource to highlight disappears. This seems to be persistent even if I disable the scrolling view. I remember that one time the scrolling view was causing problems with highlighting, and I'm not sure if that's ever been resolved. Yet it seems to be irrelevant for me because the highlighting has disappeared with scrolling you off.
It's frustrating to highlight entire chapter of reading only discovered it it's gone, for no apparent reason.
Im on latesti Pad pro, if that matters.
Thanks everyone.

Did you check the note document to see if the note is gone, or if just some glitch occurred that the visual disappeared? Have you tried killing the app and/or restarting the device?
FWIW - I have noticed some glitches myself, but in all cases I was able to "recover" the missing highlights.

Yes, I checked the note document and the highlighting is not there. Nor does the note document show up as relevant to that particular resource for highlighting disappears.
I had killed the app several times before posting this. I should have clarified that.
How were you able to "recover" them?
Also, FYI, this now occurs every single time I highlight anything. No highlighting at all will persist.

Hi Myke,
Please post issues related to our iOS Beta apps to the Faithlife Mobile Apps Beta group at https://beta.faithlife.com/mobilebeta/activity .
This is a known issue and we're already working on it. Please also remember that you are using beta software, and as a beta tester crashes and lost data can happen while we wrinkle out the bugs.
If you rely on any given iOS app for production purposes we recommend using the stable version of that app and install another one of our apps (say, Verbum) for beta testing.

In my case, the notes were in the note document... they just weren't visible as a highlight. I have also had an issue where I created a highlight but it disappeared almost immediately. Those didn't create a note in the note document and I had to try again.
How large is your note document? Does it make a difference if you use a different document? Brand new one?

Ok Kevin,
I was unaware of that group but will post there in the future.
I am aware of the circumstances surrounding the use of beta software. My post was not a complaint but rather meant to be informative so someone would know what's going.
However, as an FYI, it seems like the Beta release that was issued a few minutes ago has resolve this problem. That's strange sense releaee notes do not list that issue as being settled. But it does appear to have corrected the issue for me, at least for now. If I have further problems I will post to the beta group.

Any update on this issue? I just experienced the same thing. Lost a bunch of highlights and note locations in a monograph. Using Ios 5.10.4.

As per my reply in the other thread I think this is another issue. The beta issue was in 5.11 and you are running 5.10
I suggest you update your app and then start a new thread if the issues continue
