problem has occurred inside of 'custom' guide

Here is my problem. I have previously made a collection of "My commentaries" whereby I sorted my favorite commentaries. Then I go into 'custom' guide. This is how Morris Proctor thought it a good idea to set certain predetermined items in a guide for studying a text.
For example I am studying John 6. My guide opens to certain items I have designated such as "My commentaries". It is a great way to quickly have ready the 'books' you use most and their comments about a passage.
However when I go to my custom guide, having selected my collections, when I open commentaries it opens to something totally wrong. It looks like a collection of dictionaries or similar-type books.
Can anyone figure out what is going on? Again even while inside my custom guide, I double check the small down arrow off on the right and it does show correctly the proper collection.
I am confused.
Thanks

Rather than debugging, I'd try deleting and rebuilding the offending section in My Guide.
