How do you send a private message to someone who doesn't have an active link on the FL home page? Does that mean they have turned it off?
There are privacy level settings and the ability to block individual users when it comes to FL groups and messaging.
Okay, I understand blocking individual users, but I've noticed that some people don't have any link available for a private message.
I'm not an expert on the settings but for each area of your account there are four levels of privacy as shown below. My thoughts are what you are seeing is because of the privacy level settings chosen. But someone more qualified may be able to provide greater insight if they see your post.
To send private messages on Faithlife can require both users to be member(s) in group(s).
Edit: unless profile allows everyone permission to contact.
