Why can't I type Psalm 151 into the command box in Logos?

I happen to have the Verbum engine installed on my computer along with my main Logos software. I noticed that I can type Psalm 151 into the command box in Verbum and it brings up the top bible that has that psalm (in this case the Lexham English Septuagint). However, when I try this in Logos, it goes to Psalm 150 instead of 151, even though I have 5 english bibles that have Psalm 151, along with several greek bibles. Can this quirk be fixed in Logos?

Psalm 151 will work if your highest priority Bible (preferred Bible) contains Psalm 151 e.g. if you use the NRSV.

That worked. Thanks. I wonder why this is necessary for Logos but not necessary for Verbum. I don't have a bible with Psalm 151 prioritized the highest in Verbum but I can still type Psalm 151 into the command box.

Verbum defaults to a larger canon than Logos.

This manifestation of that trait could be frustrating for some of FaithLife's Logos customers, especially its Eastern Orthodox ones.

And LXX'ers. It would have driven Paul up the wall, since he wasn't protestant. I constantly have to watch which resource has the tiny blue line in the tab, or get in trouble.

Logos can be changed to be like Verbum (for some items) using command: Set Verbum to Yes
Caveat: Logos 7.4 Beta 3 still needed highest prioritized Bible to contain Psalms 151 for command box to find it.

Good to know. Thanks!

Actually this command didn't come up for me. Must just be a beta feature.

Definitely not beta but it may have some dependency on your purchases.

That's what I get if I type in Psalm 151 in my GO Box...
If the NRSV is your default Bible, it contains Ps 151 and will give the behavior you show.

M.J. that's why I posted it ;-) My default Bible is Luther 1984 and all other Bibles also don't have Psalm 151 This is one of my English Bibles.

And in my Libary the Lexham Septuanginta comes before NRSV so should'nt this Version show up?

I don't have the resources necessary to test your case. At a minimum, I'd need to see the priority list for Bibles.

So your highest priority Bible includes the apocrypha .... Now I need to see that Ps 151 does not exist either as the end of the Psalms or as a separate work.

GO box on Home page (Verbum OR Logos) can find Psalm 151 regardless of Bible priorities:
Command box is sensitive to Bible priorities so Psalm 151 does not appear when highest prioritized Bible does not have it:

Keep Smiling the Point for Kiyah was that she can't open Psalm 151 in Logos and M.J. suggested that this is cause of priorisation I find that I don't have prioretised any Bible with Psalm 151 (even my Catholic One don't have it) but it opens to an English Version...in Logos...so it must be something different why Kiyah don't open in Logos.

None of my german Bibles have Psalm 151

I'm not talking about entering the text in the Go box, I'm talking about the command box. The NRSV is my top prioritized bible in Logos normally, but I had temporarily switched my top bible to another bible that doesn't have Ps 151. So the issue is that I can type Ps 151 in the command box in Verbum even if my top bible doesn't have Ps 151. In that case it brings up the next bible that does have Ps 151 (ex. Lexham Septuagint). However, when I try the same thing in Logos, I cannot enter Ps 151 in the command box at all.

What's weird is that this seems to only be a problem with Ps 151. I switch my top bible to the NIV (doesn't have Ps 151) and typed in Judith 2, and it defaulted to NRSV Judith 2. It even worked when I typed in 1 Enoch. The command box says "LXX-S Enoch" but it brings up my top prioritized resource that has 1 Enoch (Charlesworth's Old Testament Pseudepigrapha). Here are the screen shots from Logos. I'm just wondering why the same thing can't happen for Ps 151 in Logos so that it defaults to NRSV Psalm 151 in the command box regardless of whether my top bible has the apocrypha or not.

Okay I played around a little more and discovered that the issue is not a difference between Logos and Verbum. The issue is that there is something different about how they have the ESV set up to work. For some reason, the ESV is the only bible without Ps 151 that I can have as my top bible and still be able to type Ps 151 into the command box. This is the case in both Logos and Verbum. I switched my top bible from the ESV to the LEB in Verbum and I could no longer type Ps 151 into the command box. I tried prioritizing a bunch of other bibles without Ps 151 in Logos and I could only type Ps 151 into the command box when the ESV was my top bible. Weird.

Thanks MJ. I didn't know Logos sold a version of the ESV apocrypha. "ESV" is nowhere in this product's description page.
I still think we should be able to type Ps 151 in the command box just like the other apocryphal books when our top bible doesn't have the apocrypha.
