Crash/Install errors
I apologize but this report will be a bit less complete than ideal.
I left Beta 1 on overnight running. When I woke up I saw that Beta 2 was asking to install. I said yes and tried to exit out of Beta 1, however Beta 1 didn't respond.
Eventually the installation process said that Beta 1 had to stop running before it could finish, and so I killed Beta 1 via Windows Control Panel. After it had stopped, I hit the button to retry on the installation of Beta 2. It appeared to install Beta 2, but while it appeared that Beta 2 was starting up, I got a message that Beta 2 failed to install.
Logos 4 was starting to re-index, so it really looked like I had signs of life there. However Logos 4 main app seemed to be frozen. After it didn't respond for a while, I killed it again and restarted Logos 4. It loaded and has a few new Beta 2 features, so it certainly seems like I got it.
Meanwhile, the control bar icon says it has gone from re-indexing to DLing updates (my guess is about 540 MB of updates). Glad it did this before it finished re-indexing .<g>
I looked for logs for the installer but didn't find any. Logos4 and Logos4indexer logs were obviously "live" since they were growing is size. I did, of course, try to send the report to Microsoft, but that report even froze up the first time when running Beta 1.

Hi, sounds like you uncovered a good bug, you didn't need to exit out of Logos4, the indexer should have done everything for you. Has it recovered on its own though, is it working smoothly now?

Sorry it took so long for the reply, but it appears to be working well. The only thing is that the crash I had on Beta 1 still seems to happen in Beta 2.

Ken
Can you post repro steps and the logs as well? Thanks.
