This is an odd one. CTRL+F properly in Genesis 2:9, in most (all?) English Bibles.
To reproduce:
- Open a Bible to Genesis 1:1. I've tested this in 2011 NIV, 1984 NIV, NKJV, and LEB.
- Press CTRL+F to start a Find.
- Type tree. Depending on your translation Logos will probably skip to Gen 1:11.
- Press ENTER to get to the next location, probably still Gen 1:11.
- Keep pressing enter until you get to (or past) Genesis 2:9
Result:
- The wrong text is highlighted.
Expected result:
- Each of the occurrences of 'tree' in Genesis 2:9 will be highlighted in turn.
Please note:
- If you begin the search at Genesis 2:1 instead of 1:1, the find operation will work correctly.
- In the 2011 NIV, the find operation sometimes works correctly, and sometimes skips 2:9 altogether. It seems to depend on the size of the pane and which visual filters are displayed. Other versions seem always to fail.
- Clicking Previous often skips back to Genesis 1:11, instead of the previous result.
