Enough is enough.

I love Logos but I am constantly being inundated with advertising for products and it's getting a little much. There is already at least one item on my home page each day and now there are annoying little notes that pop up showing me more items I am not interested in. Logos here is my advice respect your customers by at least giving them the option of turning off unwanted advertising. Some of us can find the products we need with out you trying to sell us.

Just click the customise button on the home page, and turn off the things you don't want. Personally I find the "advertising" helpful. I want to know what's new in Logos, in case it's useful to me.

Go to the customize options on the homepage (lower left hand corner) and uncheck all the "Logos ...." Also go to the Program settings and change show alerts to "No." Then you should be free of the advertising in Logos.

Alternatively don't start up the the homepage.

Matthew, did the advice of Mark and Kevin help you figure out the controls Logos provides or do you need more help in how to uncheck the options you don't want?

Logos here is my advice

Hi Matthew. Several months ago I wrote a few harsh posts on the forum (at least I thought they were cutting in hindsight), but I learned that the problem was me, not Logos. Usually when we blast someone we don't always have the full story, so we need to humble ourselves. That's what I did. I apologized and have approached the forum, hopefully in a more godly manner. Logos has respected their customers by allowing them to turn off portions of the home page messages or the entire home page itself.

Hang in there and don't let the little things pull you down.

P.S. What I do is turn off the "advertising" before I go to bed at night. Then, when I wake up and look at the home page in the morning I only have the things I want on there to start my day. Later, I turn on the Pre-pub stuff, etc. and check them out. But, I'm like Mark. I find it helpful. We just have to use it properly.

I like the fact that Logos not only has provide multiple feeds for their information but have also provided the ability to choose which ones I use. So as has already been mentioned, it is possible to switch off the message notifications and other stuff on the Logos homepage. This is what I have chosen because I get any Pre-pub and Community Pricing info via RSS, I get more general announcements about things like March MAdness, etc via Twitter and then I'm on the site often enough to remember to visit the blog to catch up on a few days of posts.
