Thank you Faithlife for Extended Feature Set

Thank you Faithlife for Extended Feature Set, especially Bible Browser Tool available for ownership model. It is encouraging to see that you are valuing ownership model user/costumers.

Yes, thank you for this. My objections in another thread regarding implementation aside, I am glad that Faithlife has made this available to purchase!

Ditto! Thanks to the Logos Now discount, it was a very good deal for me to get some wish list items at a great price, and gain ownership of many features in the process.
Still planning to subscribe for the foreseeable future to get early access to new features and capabilities. Thanks again, FL!
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Yes agreed it was a good decision to add a new level of ownership for those that want to choose that path.

What's new could you clarify it please`?
Blessings in Christ.

I agree though I wish they made it available from the start. I can't say I'm in the mood to buy another level package just to get this at the discount

I don't believe you'll get an additional discount at this point, if you already bought an L7 package. You should be able to verify that by checking cart prices for an L7 library, an L7 library and L7 feature set, and the L7 feature set by itself.
I've seen no price difference between buying the feature set by itself, and with an additional L7 library. If others are, I believe there's a one-time discount that only applies to our initial L7 purchases.

My price for the extended by itself is $153 and change. If I add L7 Gold it drops to $115 and change

Hmm... and this isn't your first L7 library? Are you an LN member?
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

I used to be a LN member but dropped it when they forced the annual membership. I have L7 Silver at moment

Quick question. If I am a Logos Now member, and I have only bought a L7 library, if I bought the extended feature set does that include everything in the full feature set plus additional features? Really deciding if I want to keep on subscribing to Logos Now and maybe go the ownership route instead.

Keeping Logos Now assures you of having whatever is cutting edge. I'm not much on subscriber software. I have never regretted my investment in Logos.

I wasn't happy at first, but with the adjustment they made on the price, now I can say I'm happy and thankful for this new addition. I'm wondering if this means there will be more new features in my Logos Now subscription. I hope there are. I have not really used it lately, except for preparing a Sunday morning class, so I'm not sure if they have stayed true to the 6 weeks cycle of releasing new content.
Anyway, thank you FL for the Extended Feature Set. Now, can we pretty please get our $10 bucks credit/coupon for the Philippians HD Animated Commentary? I have a couple of purchases in mind and wouldn't mind using that coupon since I couldn't use it for the January sale item I purchased.
Thanks!

I'm a Logos Now subscriber as well as seeking to buy the additional features as an owner. Personally, I like having the best of both worlds - the latest software updates plus later ownership when the opportunity to buy arises. Usually, I don't enter subscription arrangements for software, but IMHO we are getting some excellent tools from Faithlife through that approach. If I have to drop the Logos Now subscription at a later time because of costs, I will still have up to date software, at least to that point. In the end I guess its a question of each person seeking what is the best value for them! Keep well Paul

Is there a reason for buying the Extended Feature Set in you're a Logos Now member other than hedging against not being able to continue subscribing down the road?
It would cost me about $205 to buy the EFS. That's two annual subscriptions. And then when Logos 8 is released, it would probably cost another $200-plus for the L8 EFS, the same as subscribing to LN for the next two years.
Or am I missing something? I was thinking about going back to the ownership model, but now I'm having second thoughts. Faithlife doesn't make decisions easy with all the options. [;)]

What you don't buy now you will have to pay for later, and you've already missed the introductory discounts for L7 EFS! But what was attractive about EFS vs FFS? EFS was more about resources, with a couple of additional features over FFS. Nobody can predict what L8 feature sets will be, but it is conceivable that all L7 features will be in an L8 FFS which could cost you abt. $250+ and you'd miss out on some L8 features if there is a L8 EFS. So an L8 EFS could cost you abt. $350 vs your $405+. I'm assuming abt $125 for L7 features and $125 for most L8 features, if you already have all L6 features.

If they know the L8 options
Hi Dave. What I was referring to (and maybe I'm conflating posts I've written in different threads, so you're supposed to follow those to track what I'm thinking
) is my having considered dropping LN and buying the EFS instead. I concluded that I probably wouldn't come out ahead financially owning feature sets, even if down the road I no longer were able to or wanted to subscribe to LN.
By "options" I meant the subscribe vs. buy or subscribe and buy and then which feature set to buy if one were so inclined. Those are a lot of options when one is used to simply upgrading and running the program, as in olden days. And you're right, I think, in adding "the L8 options." I suspect that the ownership model will eventually die out as the cost of initially purchasing the feature sets become more expensive.
Sorry to be so confusing in my post. BTW, my decision simply to stick with LN instead of purchasing came to a head with the introductory L7 discounts ending. It was either purchase yesterday or not at all, as far as I was concerned.
