Bug regarding topic guide

Everytime I use topic guide it insists upon first loading my prior topic search which can take a good ten seconds of thumb twiddling just so I can see a guide for a topic I don't want. If it's not going to cache the results then please blank out the search box so I don't waste my time and you don't waste server resources performing the unnecessary search. This is especially true when I've closed the app and it's been days since I last used topic guide. I'm calling this one a bug.
