And if you do can you break it down according to versions(like 2,3,4)??
I would sure like to know this too. I imagine only Logos can give an accurate estimate but probably has reason to keep the numbers close to their chest.
There are also those who run both Version 3 & Version 4. There will be those who run old versions that may not be identifiable on the Logos servers. Then there are those of us who first registered in the 1990's and subsequently forgot our registration info & license numbers. Logos may still have collected information. Some of the early users have certainly quit using Logos by now. Do they allow computers in Heaven?
It would be very interesting to see some kind of breakdown, including demographics.
I imagine the company knows how many are registered. Logos may or may not wish to disclose this information, and that is their right. However, if they don't mind, it would be interesting to know.
I would like to know - if it would not be a problem - how many users there are by state. Logos would probably have that information, also. Personally, I would like to know how many registered users are in the state of Mississippi. It might be helpful in forming a user's group.
Logos probably doesn't have this information, but I would also be curious to know how many users there are by denominational membership. I wonder if there are other United Methodists out there? My curiosity knows no bounds. How many Asbury graduates are Logos users?
I will probably always wonder and never know.
the number 700,000+ has been bandied about here, but that is "total". And that was last fall/winter, I think. And "user" may or may not be current or up to date.
Dale Pritchett (VP of sales & marketing, Bob's father) quoted the figure of a quarter of a million today at the Camp Logos seminar. He might have been rounding up, but I'm guessing there have been significant numbers of new customers since 4.0 shipped.
In the room of about 100 people, about 5% were brand new to Logos today, 10% were new to Logos as of 4.0, 10-15% had used versions prior to 3.0, and the rest had upgraded recently from 3.0 to 4.0. I don't know whether that's perhaps a rough indication of how the total numbers are distributed.
