Unable to correct warnings when building PB (7.4; 7.4.0.0030)

I am copying text from web pages of a public domain book (http://gracegems.org/25/sunday_school_teacher.htm) and pasting it as plain text into a DOCX document, then manually formatting the text in the DOCX document.

I built the PB each time I finished formatting a chapter to catch any problems that may be present in that chapter.

Everything went fine, no errors or warnings, until I added the fourth (last) chapter in the DOCX file. Then I encountered two warnings:

[Warning] Unable to apply topics to article 'A_DIRECTIONSASTOTHEMANNERINWHICHAT_ULDDISCHARGETHEDUTIESOFHISOFFICE_A'. Article Length is zero.
[Warning] Article 'A_DIRECTIONSASTOTHEMANNERINWHICHAT_ULDDISCHARGETHEDUTIESOFHISOFFICE_A' has only 0 characters.

The warnings seem to refer to the third chapter, but didn't show up until I added the fourth chapter.

I deleted the fourth chapter and the warnings went away. I reentered the fourth chapter and the warnings came back.
I saved the DOCX as a RTF, then opened the RTF and saved it as a DOCX and that DOCX had the same problem.

I am using MS Word in MS Office Home and Student 2016 (version 1611, Build 7571.2109).

Am I doing something wrong or is there there a bug?

Tim,

its the extra returns that's causing this, if you remove them then the errors go, if the extra returns are important then you have to live with it

search: ^p^p
replace ^p

I wouldn't be concerned. I have those two warnings in a short PB with many headings but it doesn't affect peformance or function.

Thank you, DominicM. That took care of the symptoms, though I haven't been able to figure out why that's a problem on this document and not other documents I have that also have the double returns. Nor why the warning is caused by the double returns in one section but is reported as being in the previous section of the document. Strange.

Most likely the return after the header is still thinking it's a header you could try highlight both lines set to normal style then go back to header line itself and reapply its style

I already tried that, but it didn't fix it. When both lines were Normal style, there was no warning. As soon as I set the header line, it causes the warning. I even cut out the whole section (before and after the offending return) and pasted it into Notepad (to remove all spurious xml code), then copied it from Notepad and pasted it back into Word, then set the header - it had the same warning.

At this point I left out the extra return on that one section and it works without the warning. What's strange is the other section headers have the extra return and they don't cause the warning.

So I'm going to leave this for Faithlife if they want to look into it and move on to my other projects and studies.
