Church successfully using FaithLife Groups
Hi,
I'm in the process of introducing FaithLife Groups to our congregation. Since we've purchased a FaithLifeTV subscription, I thought the groups would be a way to connect us during different studies.
Is there a church that has successfully introduced FaithLife Groups? I would be very interested in hearing how they are using it and how they were able to get people off of Facebook or, at least, use FaithLife in addition to Facebook.
Thanks!
Peace,
David.

Hello, Getting people off facebook is somewhat a losing battle. But, Faithlife is a good alternative and the developers have been making improvements. Currently, it doesn't match the features of Facebook, which is why people will still use both. We have a fairly small church and currently have 29 people on Faithlife. Ours is a closed group, so they have to ask to join and get approved. We also have a sub-group which comprises a book club. The key is you have to keep promoting it, every week, and even ask people to join it, then encourage them to use it--promote, promote, it is the only way, and even then people are slow to join 'another' social media site.
