Notes and the Search function

When I search, my notes are not included.

There is not even a 'My Content' section in the results.

Is 'rebuild Index' what needs to be done by me?

if we meet and you forget me,

you have lost nothing.

But if you meet Jesus and forget Him,

you have lost everything.

Probably not. There have been cases where the guide needed to be refreshed i.e. a saved guide is being displayed. There have been bugs requiring the closing of the note file or of Logos 4 ... I've not seen these bugs reappear but it is another possibility.  Eliminate these possibilities before doing anything dramatic.

    MJ & others,

    Thanks for the information.

What I was attempting to do was execute a search of my notes only, using the search function as demonstrated in "Notes Part 3" video. showing at the below link.

    http://www.logos.com/videos

I cannot get this kind of search to happen.

The way I use notes, to search just them on occasion would be key.

    Thanks and Blessings in advance!

I find the video very odd - I don't see how searching the ESV picked up the notes unless, perhaps, all the notes were attached to the ESV. I have previously requested that we have a collection of "My Content" that could be used for searches so I do understand your need. But I can only get the My Content portion of the search to work if I do an entire library search.  I'll report it as a bug for you.

I believe this is by design. If you are searching a particular collection the logic is you only want results from that collection which wouldn't include my notes. However, if you are searching everything it then becomes appropriate to search your content again. I could be wrong about this but I'm pretty sure I remember this being a conscious change.

    Thanks MJ & Kevin.

I do hope the search will work as displayed in the video.

Thanks for posting the 'bug' report.

I"m having the same problem. I did it exactly as the video described and it comes up with just Bible verses relating to "deep"... this is frustrating...

    Carey,

I tried a search under "entire library" and "my content" came up!  Check it out. It's weird that the video had it under ESV and it worked for him, yet it doesn't for me, but it works under "entire library"! ... What's wrong? The guy doing the video's software, or mine?  LOL

It seems the functionality has changed since that video was made. It doesn't work that way for me either. The video should be redone. It is misleading.
