Waltke & O'Connor's Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax (IBHS) could use some editing.

This is a friendly complaint. I love Hebrew and I use IBHS a lot. I spent money to buy this resource in addition to what I had in my original package. The problem is that there are an exorbitant amount of spelling errors especially in the Hebrew text. At times, it can be difficult to use. I suggest someone go through and edit it to make it more readable. Please, that would be amazing!

I've not used W&O a ton in Logos, but I've never noticed any Hebrew errors. You know how to submit typos, right? Right click on the offending word/phrase, select "report typo" fill it out, hit "submit."

Thanks! I did not realize you could report typos. I will do that as I keep reading. Still if you read a chapter of IBHS, you will notice that there are enough typos that it seems worth having someone sit down and systematically correct all the mistakes. I'm currently reading chap. 14, and on pg. 257 example #13, vowels are missing from the Hebrew words. This is very common, also reduplicated words, missing words, and altered vowels have all been frequent mistakes. I've started looking up the verses in BHS to double check IBHS for reliability.

Just to belabor the point a little, since you had not seen the extent to which IBHS has typos, pg. 270 is a good example. I found five words that were incorrect in the Hebrew just on that page.

I'm not saying these things just to be difficult, but I know that I will be using this book as a reference tool extensively for the rest of my life probably. If I can influence Logos just to edit this one resource, my life will be improved tremendously and I hope others would benefit too.

Concur two words in example 13 could be revised.

Found three words on page 270 in examples 40, 42, and 43 missing some pointing:

Page 271 example 49 has a cantilation mark in Waltke & O'Connor's Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax (IBHS) while many examples do not.

Please continue to report typos for this resource. It is a very old resource. We were able to do a significant update in late-Summer/early Fall of 2016 where we fixed all reported typos in addition to updating links and other general improvements.
