BUG: 7.5 Beta 2 and Beta 1 - Crash. Splash screen, then terminate

Upon upgrading to 7.5 Beta 1, Logos would not start. The splash screen would be displayed for approximately 3 seconds, then execution terminated. I reinstalled the stable release and there was no problem. Upon upgrading to 7.5 Beta 2, the issue reappeared.

Logos log file could not be created, however, the windows event viewer logs indicated a .NET problem. I attached the windows event logs and a system summary report5040.WEL_System_Logos_Crash.zip.

Has anyone come across or experienced this issue?

Logos worked on every revision prior to 7.5 Beta 1.

The machine experiencing the issue is a Dell Latitude D620 laptop.

Windows 10, 2G RAM.

Thanks for reporting this. We're not seeing widespread issues but will investigate. Can you check to see if you have a log file located in your Documents folder (c:\users\[username]\documents\Logos Log Files). Logos.Log and LogosCrash.txt are probably the most interesting.

There is no log file. I'm thinking that Logos crash before actually starting. The only indication of the issue I could find was in the Windows Event Log, which indicated the faulting application to be logos.exe due to .NET.

The issue is only occurring on this one laptop, and it began with Beta 1.

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you before you tried Beta 3. We tracked down the issue and do have a fix but it didn't make it into the code before Beta 3 was released. It will be fixed with beta 4.
