I would like to put a link in OneNote or Evernote that opens Logos in a specific layout (not just place in a specific resource).
What would be the correct syntax?
I am not sure a hyperlink to a specific layout is possible. Perhaps someone does know a way to do that. However, in the Logos program setting you can set it to open with a specific layout.
Hi Fredc,
I have set my preference for the layout to open when I launch Logos, but I have several study and ministry projects in OneNote that have a Logos Layout associated with them, so I want to jump from my OneNote project directly into the Logos layout associated with it. I just have not be able to figure out the syntax or even prove that Logos supports this functionality.
Hey Tim! Great question. Unfortunately, this is not something that can be done within Logos. While having the software open to one specific location is possible, opening a specific layout is not. This is however a fantastic suggestion, and highly recommend tossing it onto our uservoice here.
Thanks Brandyn for confirming this.

Thank you, Brandyn, for confirmation on this functionality.
I have added the request to UserVoice at https://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-7/suggestions/18544870-please-provide-the-ability-to-open-logos-to-a-spec.

I tried that, but couldn't figure it out. I've got a custom layout I use most of the time. Please, how do you do that?
Thanks, Dale Heath

Navigate to Preferences | Program Settings | General | At Startup Open To
then select the named, saved layout from the dropdown menu.
On another note: I assume you could do what you want with some sort of automation script. I have a very little experience doing such things... but none on windows.
Work around idea is saving a Layout with a name along with including Layout name in OneNote or Evernote so can swtich to Logos (OR Verbum) followed by opening desired Layout.

Thank you, mine was a little different and shorter.

Works great, Dale Heath
The only way I found I can link is from Logos to your OneNote study. I have not found a way from OneNote to Logos. Even at that Its dose does not open up the OneNote program just the paper/page its link to. Which is want I wanted, and I do that when my study is over because once you link it in Logos you can't edit it in Logos. You can in OneNote but you'll have to recreate the link again which is not a big deal. If anyone does figure out a way to link from OneNote to Logos let me know, but till then what I have been doing works fine with me. If anyone what to know how, all you are going to do is export your OneNote page into a webpage. Open up the webpage and copy the link then link it to scripture in Logos. When you click this link I will just pop up you will not even have to leave Logos to see it, but I do this when the study is done so I will not have to keep editing it because you can't edit it in Logos.
