Looking for Passages Appropriate for Weddings, Funerals, Dedications, Baptisms, etc

Hi,

I am looking for passages appropriate for weddings, funerals, dedications, baptisms, etc.  Since I am not looking for examples of funerals in the Bible, how would you suggest crafting a useful search?  Would you use one of the guides?  If so, which one?

Alternatively, perhaps I shouldn't be expecting Logos to produce these types of results and stick to using a resource on these topics?

I would use the Sermon Starter Guide to find key passages and thematic outlines on "Marriage," "Death," "Eschatology: Resurrection," "Baptism." The thematic outlines are very helpful.

I would stick to resources designed for this purpose. Do you know if you have any in your library? Would you want recommendations? What tradition are you most comfortable in?

Try Wedding, funeral, etc as an entry into Factbook as that will provide suggestions that are relevant. Factbook articles provide bible passages, links to articles in your bible dictionaries and links for searches of your resources.

I have been scouring my library and found a few resources, but I would definitely be open to some recommendations.  I come from a Baptist tradition.

One search idea is Preaching Themes:

{Section <PreachingTheme Marriage>}

{Section <PreachingTheme Death and Dying>} 

{Section <PreachingTheme Baby Dedication>}

{Section <PreachingTheme Baptism>} 

Thankful can refine search using INTERSECTS, e.g.

(marriage OR wedding) INTERSECTS {Section <PreachingTheme Marriage>}

Another search idea is using Bible Sense Lexicon.

Suggest searching Everything in Library for articles:

([field heading,largetext] marriage,wedding)

Everything also includes Factbook. Search can be refined to include word(s) early in article:

([field heading,largetext,surface] celebration,feast) AFTER 88 WORDS ([field heading,largetext] marriage,wedding)
