Bug, 4.0c beta 1: Wrong pop-up in Passage list when verse mapping used

If you have a verse in a passage list that has non-'standard' verse mapping, the pop-up doesn't display quite right. For example, adding "BHS Psalm 51:13" shows the correct verse on the hover pop-up, but gives the reference as ESV Psalm 51:13, which of course it's not.

    that has non-'standard' verse mapping

What do you mean 'non-standard'? They are all non-standard. Try my usual top combo: NRSV, NAB, JPS (Tanankh), NJB, NETS ...[:D]

Dominic & Martha, I think what he's referring to is this:

    image

When you hover over a reference in a Passage List, it pops up the verse in your preferred Bible, not in the version that you specified when you added the verse to the PL. Thus even though it shows the correct verse ("Do not cast me..." is the proper translation for Psalm 51:13 in BHS), it gives the wrong citation. Though it is Psalm 51:13 in BHS, it is Psalm 51:11 in TNIV -- my preferred Bible.

I know. I was just razzing him for thinking any of the mappings is a "standard one". [:D] I'm not downloading the new beta for a few days ... I'll then check to see if I can still create even stranger cases. [;)]

    I've reported this.
