Text Comparison
- Instant Compare (F7) now works with current milestone in a
non-Bible (such as a commentary), or when hovering over a Bible
reference in a non-Bible.
First: great idea.
Second: it always pops up in the same place no matter where the resource is that you invoke it from. In the example below it covers the resource (a commentary) that I launched it from (arrow on lower right). Not too helpful (if I wish to continue to read the commentary and use the text comparison). Could the panel be docked more intelligently, i.e., so it never covers the resource it was invoked from?
Third: when I double click on the Instant Compare panel Logos 4 opens the the comparison tool in the right sidebar but it doesn't have the same number of Bibles showing in Instant Compare. Above you see it opened six Bibles in Instant Compare.
Below you see two other screen shots taken of a floating panel view of the Text Comparison tool that opened after I double clicked on the Instant Compare panel. One has four Bibles and the other has five. That one with five also has 'Calvin jn' in the Bible selection box (which is the commentary I invoked F7 from). I have not figured out how to get all six Bibles to open in the Text Comparison tool nor why I can get either four or five from one time to the next.
So all in all a great idea. Seems it could use some improvement in where the panel opens and in being sure double clicking opens the same Bibles in the Text Comparison tool as are open in Instant Compare.
