A15- Preparing your Library This may take a while... 2 days?

I downloaded A15 (auto updating not working since A12 I think)
Got the dreaded "Preparing your Library This may take a while..." message and it is major understatement and I am underwhelmed at Logos for Mac so far. This has happened with multiple Alphas.

The developers can correct me if I am mistaken, but I believe A15 corrected some indexing errors and so requires a new index. Those of use who helped Beta test the Windows version were indexing once a week (sometimes twice).. now I am doing it again for Mac Alpha. It gets better as the program stabilizes. Hang in there brother.

This is the reality of running software that is still in development. If you haven't done, read the FAQ (see the link in my signature). Regarding your particular comments about updating, there's a long thread on the subject here.
Being involved at this stage can be frustrating at times, but it can also be exciting and rewarding ... at the moment it's like getting a new application every fortnight!
Stay positive! It'll be worth it in the long run!

Shawn,
Taking a look at your indexer log, it appears that your Indexer is crashing. I just encountered this bug myself yesterday and fixed it. It should be fixed in Alpha 16. Due to the fact that the Indexer handles downloading and the Indexer is crashing, you'll have to manually download A16 from www.logos.com/logos4mac once it is released sometime early next week.

So do I install A14 until then? I can't use the program otherwise?

The problem is in your DownloadManager.db I believe. Reloading A14 won't fix the problem.
You can try deleting your DownloadManager.db from ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/<some_id>/DownloadManager/DownloadManager.db and restarting.

That at least unstuck it and I can get to the program, it would not even boot before. Indexing now and downloaded another update... (56 minutes remaining) [:D]
