Addition of L3 notes (huge number) to L4 causes veeerrrryyy slow loading of the program

In L3 there was the option to turn off notes you didn't want to load and thus speed loading the program. In L4 I haven't found a way to do that. After importing the huge number of notes I find that the 12 sec load of L4 is now a bit over 60 secs. Apparently all the notes are loaded. Is there anyway to control the loading of notes in L4? I have a core 2 duo machine with 6GB RAM. Even this fast a machine can't handle the load in a timely way. I can imagine what slowing must be happening with slower machines.

The slow loading of the program is made worse by the same slow loading when I open a resource. It is making use of L4 very difficult. I hope that someone has a solution. I'm going to call tech support to see if they have a solution, or if removing the notes.db from it's folder will allow me to access my resources in a timely manner until there is a fix for this problem.

if its a particular notefile thats "big" yes you can remove it from showing in resources

just click on the trinity logo and uncheck it from the notes section

my notes.db is currently 36.8mb in size, I get a little delay on my netbook, but my main pc is lag free

Thanks Dominic, I found the feature you reported in the Visual filter drop down. Unfortunately, I have a large number of relatively small notes. When L4 loads them all it slows down even loading a commentary or any other resource to which notes would be associated. Having a huge number of commentaries means that I will need to uncheck notes for each in order to get them to load in a timely manner. I called tech support to see if there was a command or feature to uncheck all notes at once (possible in L3) and then selectively check those desired. He said that was not available in L4 and suggested the I send that request to suggest@logos.com. I am going to do that, since the only other option would be to use a command to undo the transfer of L3 notes into L4.

you could merge those smaller files together, drag and drop between files works, that may help you in the short term

Open the same dropdown Dominic had you use, but Right Click instead of Left Clicking, there is an option to remove (or add) each note from/to all resources.  If you save the screen as a Layout then use that Layout when using Logos, I THINK the notes will no longer be included...  (Need to test this out myself! ;)
